Wuthering Heights -
Clare Valley Accommodation
Three heritage-style cottages located well away from one another amongst rolling hills, trees and creeks.
"Wuthering Heights", a beautiful 75 acre (30ha) property just 6 kms north of Clare township, combines the best in Clare Valley accommodation. It’s peaceful and secluded, with easy access to a host of attractions.
Each bed-and-breakfast cottage is self contained and comfortably furnished, with stunning views undisturbed by any other building.
Wake up to the sound of birds, and enjoy the unhurried pace of the country with a breakfast of Free Range eggs, local bacon rashers, bread from the Clare Valley bakery, jam, cereals and fruit. There’s also complimentary port in all cottages and, at Bronte Manor, a bottle of complimentary wine.
Birds, especially parrots, are plentiful and kangaroos are seen most days.

Dogs are welcome at Wuthering Heights, subject to prior negotiation, and each cottage has a securely fenced area, near or adjoining the dwelling. Dogs are also allowed inside the cottages. There’s plenty of space for children to run around, with no traffic to worry about.
Couples looking for a romantic get-away will love the quaint charm of Cathy’s Cottage or Glen Morris, or the grander ambience of Bronte Manor, up on the hill.
Bronte Manor is ideal for families or larger groups of up to eight who want to socialize and have fun, but want their own privacy, too.

Restaurants, wineries and a first class golf course are within a few kilometres. Clare is a good service centre with a wide range of shopping facilities. The Clare Valley is noted for its fine wines, and boasts many excellent, boutique wineries, fine restaurants and informal eateries. Scenic drives amongst gum trees and rolling hills connect many of these. There’s an unspoilt rural charm about the region.
For the cyclist or walking trail enthusiast, The Riesling trail follows the old railway line between Clare and Auburn (22Kms) and is becoming increasingly popular. The trail passes close to wineries, restaurants and scenic spots. It is sign posted and the full trail does not have to be negotiated.
How did we decide on the name?
In winter, the wind and rain "wuthers" through the trees on the property. The atmosphere seemed to evoke Emily Bronte's classic novel, "Wuthering Heights."
